The Department of Chemistry is one of the six main departments of the Faculty of Science of Tunis. It is one of the most important and productive structures in the country in the fields of research and training in Chemical Sciences.

More than sixty permanent researchers-teachers and technical - administrative staff work in the Department. Eight laboratories covering different aspects of chemistry research, three analysis platforms and four associations take part in the department life.

The Department of Chemistry offers various training courses leading to bachelor’s degrees (BAC + 3), masters (BAC + 5) and doctorates (BAC + 8). In addition, the Department participates in the training of the preparatory cycles for engineering studies and offers training for Engineering students
